All you need to know about battery switches!

A battery switch is an integral part of your boats electrical system, it can help ensure you always have a fully charged battery ready to go when you hit the water or make sure you don't get stranded with a dead battery when you're using too many electronics.

Whether your boat has a big stereo in it or you like to spend all day fishing with your electronics you can benefit from having a battery switch.

Below are a few different options we can provide for your boat.

On-Off Switch

The simple On-Off battery switch is great when you only have one battery and don't want to worry about coming back to the boat to find a dead battery.

Turn the switch to Off anytime you leave the boat and never have to worry about a slow draw killing your next lake trip.

4 Way Selector Switch

A great option when you have 2 batteries in the boat and are worried about running them dead. This switch allows you to manually switch between batteries and to also combine them both for charging.

Automatic Charging

By far the best option for your 2 batteries. This switch with charging relay will automatically charge both batteries while the engine is running but will never allow you to run your starting battery dead.

This switch comes as a kit with the charging relay and is the most popular option when it comes to charging systems.

No matter which option you decide on, any of them will be a great investment to your boat.

Not sure which option is best for you? Give us a call and we will be happy to discuss in more detail about all your options.
